Apolo Daycare and Pre-K is based on the work of early childhood education pioneers Piaget and Vygotsky. The program offers one trained caregiver for every four children and provides healthy meals that are organic and home cooked. Every week has a theme that is planned and shared with parents, and weekly itineraries are sent to parents describing what the children will be learning or eating next. Children are taught in Spanish and can learn and speak Spanish in a fun and supportive way. Safety is described as a top priority with rigorous safety protocols and procedures.

The indoor and outdoor play areas have a variety of toys and other activities that build different motor skills. Families describe the home as beautifully and thoughtfully converted into a preschool/park and a huge preschool/park area, with many different exciting things for children to discover and play with. Parents report that meals are organic and home cooked, that their children are taught to be more independent while building confidence, and that Mary provides updates and feedback and is open to ideas and suggestions. Several parents say their children are excited to attend each day, that weekly themes such as “going to space” are detailed and engaging, and that their children have learned Spanish in a fun and supportive way. One parent notes that their child now understands three languages: English, Spanish, and Vietnamese spoken at home.

Apolo Daycare and Pre-K has been recognized as one of the Best Daycare Centers in East Palo Alto. It was awarded Best of BusinessRate 2025 based on Google Reviews and parent satisfaction.
